Pol Turrents is an active member of the Spanish Society of Cinematographers (AEC), the European Federation of Cinematographers IMAGO, member of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and works predominantly as a cinematographer. His roles include technical director for many large Spanish broadcast projects and he specialises in new technologies. He was responsible for the first 4K transmission in Spain with the public broadcaster RTVE. He also oversaw the stereoscopic engineering for the first televised 3D transmission with TV3 and has been the tech advisor for the transition to HDTV and now to HDR and 4K.
