I connected the camera to a Windows 7/8 computer, but the "Device Stage" window does not appear.

    Check the following.

    Settings on the camera

    • The camera needs to be set as follows.
    • USB Connect Setting: Auto or MTP
    • LUN Setting: Multi


    Settings on the computer

    • Click the icon on the task bar.
    • Display example:

    If the icon above is not displayed on the task bar on the computer, click Start > Devices and Printers.
    When the window opens, click the icon with the camera name to display Device Stage. It may take some time to display.

    If the Device Stage window or Sony window still does not appear, check the download settings of realistic icons.
    Click Start, right-click Computer, and select Properties > Advanced system settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings > Yes, do this automatically (recommended) > Save Changes, then connect the camera and the computer again.
    The Device Stage window or the icon on the task bar will appear.
