- Disconnect the main unit from car battery's power supply once and after waiting a few minutes, re-connect the main unit to the battery power supply
- Turn on your car's engine and confirm the main unit starts up
- Update the firmware of the product
Note: If the unit does not start when the engine is started and the issue cannot be solved by pushing the reset button on the main unit, please perform the following steps.
- Applicable firmware versions:
- If the firmware of your unit is below version “1900“, please make sure to perform the update
- If the firmware of your unit is version “2000” or above, you do not need to perform the update
How to confirm the firmware version on the main unit
Install
1. Preparation: how to prepare a USB storage device for the firmware update
- Connect the USB device to your PC and make sure you format it, selecting the FAT16 or FAT32 file system
- Make sure your PC is connected to the Internet
- Download the update file to your PC
- File Name: 15BTWR_v2000.dat
- File Size: 3.10 MB (3,260,480 bytes)
- Copy the update file under the root directory of the USB device which is connected to your PC
- Disconnect the USB device from your PC
2. Update: how to update the firmware of the main unit using the USB storage device
Notes:
- Please make sure to follow all the steps indicated below
- The update procedure in your car takes approx. 1 minute to complete
- Park your car in a safe place and start the engine to avoid a voltage drop of the power to the unit
- Connect the USB memory to the main unit and confirm that “USB NO MUSIC” is displayed on the main unit
- Press and hold the “SOURCE” (“SRC”) button for 1 second on the main unit to turn the audio source off and display the clock
- Press the “MENU” button
- Turn the control dial to display “SET GENERAL”, and press the control dial
- Turn the control dial to display “SET AUTO OFF”, and press the control dial
- Turn the control dial to display “SET A.OFF xx”, and set this setting to “NO”. Confirm the unit is displaying “SET A.OFF NO” (see below display captures for your reference); then, press the control dial
- Turn the control dial to display “SET FIRMWARE”, and press the control dial
- Turn the control dial to display “FW UPDATE”, and press the control dial
- Turn the control dial to display “FW UPDATE-YES”, and press the control dial. The update then starts, displaying “CHECKING” at first. The process should last approximately 1 minute and if the update is successful, the unit will restart automatically from the source OFF state (the clock is displayed)
- Confirm that the firmware version is updated by following the above “How to confirm the firmware version on the main unit” procedure. If the version number displayed is “2000", updating of the firmware is completed
- If the AUTO OFF setting was used before updating the firmware, please set it to AUTO OFF again

IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend to delete the unit's Bluetooth pairing information stored in your mobile phone and to perform the pairing again, in order to avoid potential Bluetooth connection problems. For details on how to clear Bluetooth pairing information, please refer to your mobile phone's instructions manual.
