The Touch Tracking function on my Sony camera is unavailable.

    Under certain conditions, the Touch Tracking function will be grayed out in the Settings menu and not available for use. Here are the conditions in which the Touch Tracking function will be unavailable:

    • When touching the panel activates Spot Focus:
      • When File Format is set to XAVC S 4K and Proxy Recording is set to On in movie mode (Except ILCE-7SM3, ILCE-1, ILCE-1M2, ILCE-9M3, ILCE-7M4, ILCE-7M5, ILCE-7RM5, ILCE-7CM2, ILCE-7CR, ILCE-6700, ZV-E1, ZV-E10M2, ILME-FX2, ILME-FX3, ILME-FX30, and DSC-RX1RM3)
      • When 4K Output Select is set to Memory Card+HDMI in movie mode while outputting images via HDMI (Memory Card+HDMI not available on all models)
      • When SteadyShot is set to Intelligent Active in movie mode (Intelligent Active is not available on all models)
      • When Record Setting is set to 120p / 100p in movie mode (Except ILCE-7SM3, ILCE-1, ILCE-1M2, ILCE-9M3, ILCE-7M4, ILCE-7M5, ILCE-7RM5, ILCE-7CM2, ILCE-7CR, ILCE-6700, ZV-E1, ZV-E10M2, ILME-FX2, ILME-FX3, ILME-FX30, and DSC-RX1RM3)
      • When Focus Mode is set to Manual Focus in movie mode (Only for ILCE-7C, ILCE-7SM3 [Ver. 3.02 and below], ILCE-1, ILCE-7M4, ZV-1, ZV-1A, ZV-1F, ZV-1M2, and ZV-E10)
    • When touching the panel activates Touch Focus:
      • When Scene Selection is set to Hand-held Twilight or Anti Motion Blur (Anti Motion Blur not available on all models)
      • When Subject Detection under Face/Eye AF Set. is set to Animal (Except ILCE-9, ILCE-9M2, ILCE-7SM3, ILCE-7C, ILCE-7M4, ILME-FX3, ILME-FX30, ZV-E10, and DSC-RX1RM3)
      • When Focus Mode is set to DMF (Only for Cyber-shot, except DSC-RX1RM3)
      • When Focus Mode is set to Manual Focus and the monitor is double-tapped (On some cameras, the focus magnifier is only available in still image mode.)
    • When touch operation is unavailable:
      • When the shooting mode is set to Sweep Panorama (not available on all models)
      • When Focus Mode is set to DMF (DSC-RX1RM3)
      • When using Smart Zoom, Clear Image Zoom, or Digital Zoom (not available on all models)
        Note: Depending on the settings, the following models can use Touch Tracking even while various zooms are in use:
        • When Focus Mode is set to AF-C or Manual Focus in movie mode (DSC-RX1RM3, ILCE-7CM2, and ILCE-7M5)
        • When Focus Mode is set to AF-C in still image/movie mode (DSC-RX100M7, ILCE-7M4, ZV-E1, ILME-FX3, ILCE-7RM4, ILCE-7RM4A, ZV-1F, ILCE-6700, ILCE-1, ILCE-7C, ILCE-7SM3, ZV-E10M2, and ILME-FX30)
        • When Focus Mode is set to AF-C in movie mode (ILCE-7RM5)
        • When Focus Mode is set to Manual Focus in movie mode (ILCE-6700, ILCE-7SM3, and ZV-E10M2)
      • When using Smart Telecon (not available on all models)
